Dr. Colleen Huber
Colleen Huber NMD is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor in Tempe, Arizona. She is President of the Naturopathic Cancer Society. Dr. Kenneth J. Lashutka
Dr. Kenneth J. Lashutka NMD is a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor in Tempe, Arizona, where he enjoys an active, full-
time practice. Dr. Lashutka received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe. His medical training required the completion of the most comprehensive medical school curriculum in the United States, encompassing every field of conventional medicine, while blending the study of centuries- old natural, non- toxic therapies with current advances in medicine.
Along with Dr. Huber, Dr. Lashutka is a founding member of the Arizona Naturopathic Research Institute (ANRI) and the Naturopathic Oncology Research Institute (NORI) and the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Having previously completed an integrated curriculum based primarily on a study of the Great Books, Dr. Lashutka received the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California.
Dr. Lashutka is a devoted husband and father of three young children.
Dr. Eric Lopez
Dr. Eric Lopez is a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor. He graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine with a special interest in botanical medicine. His undergraduate studies concentrated on Chemistry and Psychology. His Bachelor of Science degree is from Grand Canyon University
He actively practices in two clinics, in Surprise, AZ as well as Tempe, where he employs integrative medicine that promote natural ways of healing. He emphasizes educating and inspiring the individual to obtain optimal wellness through better understanding of the body’s innate stabilizing and healing functions.
Dr. Lopez believes there is a great interest in alternative medicine and for medical care addressing physical limitations. Dr. Lopez has served as a member of the Research Group at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and has co-
authored several articles.
Dr. Lopez is one of very few naturopathic physicians in the United States to have hospital privileges with full scope of practice as licensed in the State of Arizona.
Dr. Deborah Rogalla, NMD, IFMCP, BSN
Dr. Deborah Rogalla was born and raised in the Midwest. From the time she first started to walk, she wanted to help people feel better. While still a teenager, she graduated from college and began working as a licensed professional registered nurse at a university medical center.
She worked in the intensive care units and level one trauma centers of several fine medical institutions, including one of the top 10 hospitals in the country. She saw the miracles of modern medicine on a daily basis. She also saw its limitations.
An avid learner, Dr. Rogalla decided to attend naturopathic medical school. After graduation, she trained with a brilliant physician (DO, MD(H), DDS) who helped several people get out of their wheelchairs. She also traveled extensively to learn from many of the top minds in medicine.
Dr. Rogalla previously served as an executive board member of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association, where she was elected to the positions of Secretary and Co-President.
In 2016, Dr. Rogalla became the first and only Arizona naturopathic physician to become certified in Functional Medicine by the internationally renown Institute for Functional Medicine.
Nick Johnson, NMD
A motivated and dedicated professional, Dr. Nick Johnson NMD is a licensed Naturopathic Medical doctor in Arizona. With an extensive background in diagnostic imaging and a certification in Nutrient and Chelation IV Therapies, Dr. Johnson prides himself on using minimally invasive treatments, creating individual treatment plans and assessing risk factors. He ensures he addresses the patients’ overall health, including their physical, mental and emotional well-being, as well as any environmental factors. While listening empathetically to patients’ needs and expectations, he actively empowers patients to take responsibility for their health, providing coaching and recommending dietary changes. In addition, he also provides guidance and support to cancer patients undergoing treatment. Dr. Johnson is a well-rounded and highly skilled medical practitioner who looks to understand his patients, their lives and problems, before creating a treatment plan tailored to them. He is caring, understanding and empathic, treating the patient, not just the problem.
Graduating from College, Dr. Johnson secured a diagnostic imaging position, a role he retained for over a decade. Working within this role in three different settings, has provided Dr. Johnson with extensive diverse experience. In his first role at John C. Lincoln, Dr. Johnson would treat between seven and twenty patients daily, collaborating with other departments to provide higher quality patient outcomes. He advanced to cardiovascular diagnostic imaging, where he performed imaging studies on 19 to 23 patients daily, in addition to inserting IV’s and administering medication. His later role saw him managing and operating an Imaging Medical Department, where in addition to his previous duties, he was also responsible for ensuring high quality patient care and collaboration with other departments, in addition to total quality control, along with budgets and expenses. Leaving this role in 2013, Dr. Johnson took a four-year career path to return to his studies, becoming a qualified Naturopathic Medical doctor, securing a role with Nature Works Best Cancer Clinic.
Academically, Dr. Johnson has a solid background, graduating from his Radiological Medicine Technologist program from Gateway Community College in 2002. Dr. Johnson went onto complete as BSN in Applied Management with the Grand Canyon University, alongside gaining professional experience. He then returned to his studies to complete a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine, from which he graduated in 2016. Throughout this time, Dr. Johnson has also gained certifications and licenses, including a DEA License, a License from the Naturopathic Physicians Medical Board and a Certificate to Dispense, among others.
A family man, Dr. Johnson is the proud father of two wonderful boys. He loves nothing more than to spend time with his boys, believing fun activities keeps his children healthy and him young and fit. Dr. Johnson is an advocate of incorporating exercise as a lifestyle decision and incorporates this into his home life.
